ANNUAL MELTING The annual meeting of the Opotiki 'Basketball Association was. held a the school on Wednesday evening. The president, Mrs Potts presided. The minutes cf the prevlous M ineeting were read and confirmed and the annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs J. D; Dicker. Patroness, Mrs A. G. Hultquist., Vice-presidents, Mesdames N. Potts, E. Seville, A. C. Hampton, F. W. Bridger and A. S', de Montalk. Management Committee, M'esdames J. D Dicker, N. Potts, Miss Ola'ridge, Miss Morgan and the Sisters of the Convent. Treasurer, Miss Eleanor Murray. Acting secretaries, Misses P. Thompson and E. Debreceny. (Appointed to carry out duties until appointment of permanent secretary). Mrs. Potts, who resigned from the position of president, which she has held for some six years was presented with a charming bouquet. The opening day was fixed; for 30th. April to take the form of a knock-out tournament, juniors commencing at 1.30 p.m. and seniors at 2 p.m. Afternoon tea will be served at the conclusion of the games. It was decided that the first points matches will be played on 7th. May.
