'the Opotiki visitors, a men’s team and four or a women’s team, arrived • in Gisborne on Saturday afternoon, and appeared op the Waikana© Beach oil Sunday morning and at Wainui i.i the afternoon. The three clubs wererepresented in the display during the morning and Mr A. H. DeCosta acted as beach marshal. Members of tlie teams took part in a surf race and •v a the results of the event, which drew 23 entries, were as follows: —D. Lange, 1; T. S. Wducliop, 2; C. Say, _ Opotiki, 3.
