VISIT BY TARANAKI TOURISTS •GAMES on both greens A large party' of bowlers from Taranaki visited Opotiki on Wednesday and during the afternoon played at both the Opotiki and Citizens’ Clubs’ greens. The party comprised sixty four men and sixteen ladies. The visitors• were formally welcomed on arrival by the Mayor (Mr,. G. S. Moody), who expressed regret that the visit was only a. brief one and that members of the party would not have an opportunity to see the. district. Air. Lobb, president or the Taranaki centre.--replied to the welcome. Alterluncheon eight of the i isiting teams went to the Opotiki Club’s green, the tether eight teams going to the Citizens’ Club’s green. The visiting teams were welcomed pn their arrival by the presidents of the respective clubs (Alessrs. J. R. Sinclair and S. AI Jcphson). The members of the party then returned to AVbakatane.
