WOODLANDS ANNUAL MEETING i . ' . There was a good of members at the annual meeting of the Woodlands Women’s Institute which was held in the Woodlands Hall yesterday afternoon. The retiring president, Mrs. McGregor gave her address,. especially thanking members who had undertaken any special duty during the year, and also thanking members of the committee in general. All arrangements were made for the forthcoming council meeting in April. The secretary, Mrs. Pilkington, read her report and! the presentation of the balance-sheet disclosed a. very satisfactory financial position. The retiring president, Mrs. McGregor, the retiring vice-presidents, Mrs Mulhern and Mrs Noble, and the treasurer. Mrs Sargent, were the recipients of . charming bouquets, while the secretary, Mi's Pilkington, was presented with <a handsome flower bowl, in' recognition of her splendid services throughout the year. The election of officers for the onsuing year resulted as follows : President. Mrs. Noble. Vice-presidents. Mrs McGregor and Mrs Barbour.’ Secretary, Mrs Pilkington. Treasurer, Ms. Sargent. Librarian: Mrs Price. Committee; Mrs .Dodgson. Mi's Holiard, Mrs MuThcrn and Mrs A. F. Martin. The month’s competitions were for a jar of peaches and a specimen zinnia. Mrs Hodgson being the successful competitor tor both. Mrs Hoisted, a visitor to the Institute 1 , acted as judge. An action competition, arranged by Mi's McGregor, proved novel and entertaining and was won by Mi's Sargent.

!A dainty afternoon tea served by the hostesses, Mi's Harbour and Mrs Mulhern, concluded a happy meeting.
