PYJAMA GIRL MYSTERY
150 NEW THEORIES SYDNEY. Feb. 10. - Since the inquest on the body of the unknown girl, clad in pyjamas, found shot • and partly burned in a culvert near Albury over three years ago, (50 persons have caked at the Criminal Investigation Office and have asked to see the body, which is still preserved at the Sydney University. They said they might be able to hoi n the, police to establish the identity of the girl, but none could recognise the remains. The inquest- revived public interest in the case to such an extent that at least 150 additional reports were forwarded from all over Australia, to De-tective-Sergeant Mcßae and* Detective Wilks, suggesting a, lino of inquiry which might clear up the mystery of the girl’s identity. Each was investigated, but up till yesterday the detectives were no nearer the .solution of the crime.
