OTAR A ANNUAL MEETING The Annual meeting of the Otara AA omen's Institute was heiu in the Otara Hall oil Tuesday last. . tno annual report and balance sheet were adopted and the new committee formed. The president, Airs. A. J. A.LeCallion was .re-elected unopposed. The other members of the committee are Airs. AA'. Gault and Airs. C. Black (vice-presidents) ; hen. secretary. Airs. K. Brown; lion, treasurer, Aliss K. Harrison: and Mesdames Bingham. Frazer, Bones, Stewart and Aliases Butler. Lambert and Alorice. AlVs. A. Forbes was asked "to continue as Press Correspondent and delegates were appointed to attend the annual council meeting in jApril. The president in the course of her speech thanked all members and the committee for their support throughout the year and hoped that the coming year would be as busy and enjoyable as the last. f, ‘ j The very popular A'.O. Airs. A . AA ilscji was present and gave a most interesting talk on Institute matters and stressed the need tor women to work for peace. ✓ Charming bouquets were presented to the retiring president, secretary and treasurer. The roll call “The Sweetest sound I know” met with a good response, and a novel game was enjoyed by the members. The month’s competitions resulted: 0 best Asters, Aliss S. Butler J, Mrs. C. Black 2. G best pikelets: Mrs. J. Young 1, Airs. A. J. AlcCallion ‘2. The yearly prize for the member gaining most points in the competitions was won by Aliss S. Butler, Aliss K. Harrison being second, and Aliss Neilson third. The hostesses for the afternoon were:’ M'esdaines J. Young. JO. Young, and Alisses Lambert and Lowe. Votes of thanks were passed to Airs. A'. AA’ilson and to ■ Air. T. IT. Pearson, wlio kindly audits the hooks each year. ’The singing of the National Anthem concluded an enjoyable meeting.
