W.C.T.U.

A happy little party organised bv the members of the W.C.1.1. was held at the residence of Mrs J. T. Thompson yesterday. The function was arranged to entertain the children whose names are included in the Cradle Rdi of the W.C.T.T., and their parents aiul friends. The weather was idea-1 and a very pleasant alter noon was spent by all in the attractive grounds with their cool-look-ing lawut.y shady trees and colourful flowers. .Dr. Mail gave a most interesting address on ‘‘Diet and Vitamin’ , the president. Mr. J. R. Sinclair, expressing the thanks o! all present for the very helpful hints. Competitions wen* played with great enthusiasm and Mrs 'Sinclair, assisted by the secretary. Miss McCall in n. presented each child present v with a gift. A dainty afternoon tea was served and the remainder of the afternoon was spent in social, cbfiCjter whilst admiring the beautiful’ surroundings.
