COMPULSORY ATTENDANCE.
AT CONTINUATION CLASSES.

London, May 26,
Mr Walter Runciman (President of the Board of Education) has introduced a bill abolishing half-time scholars and enabling local authorities to compel attendance at continuation classes up to 16 years. The normal age of leaving elementary schools is raised to 14.
