SALE OF STOCK.
AT HIKUTAIA YARDS.
At Hikutaia yerterday there was a large attendance of buyers from Waikato, Thames, Paeroa, and surrounding districts when the Farmers' Anctioneering Company disposed of the cattle, sheep, lambs, and horses on account of Ambury, English and Co. (Mr R. N. Buttle, manager), who have disposed of their estate to a syndicate, who intend to cut it up for closer settlement.
Twenty-six beef steers sold from £6 12s 6d to ;£i 1 ; three-year-old store steers £4 19s to £5 ios, 61 sold; two-year-old steers ,£3 to £3 12s, 164 sold; yearlings, £2 ios; heifers £3 13s to £4 13s; calves, £t 15s. Store sheep sold at 12s 3d to 16s 6d for medium weights ; store lambs 6s to 7s.
Horses: Three-year-olds, £13 to ,£32 1 os; two-year-olds up to ,£lB 10s; yearlings, £7 to £1$ ios; brown mare, ,£26 1 os; riding hacks, £6 15s to ios.
