WAIHOU BRIDGE LOAN.

POL.L, THIS MONTH

The poll-of ratepayers on the question of raising a loan for the construction of a bridge across the V^aihou River at the Puke will betaken on Thursday, 25th inst. This announcement was niade at the meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council yesterday afternoon by the chairman (Mr P. Grace), who said that the solicitor had advised that the necessary preliminary work had been done, and that the poll could be taken on that date. Under the terms of recent legislation, there would not need to be another public meeting to consider the loan proposal.

In reply to Mr Laughlin, the Chairman intimated that there would be polling booths at Paeroa and Netherton,
