HOCKEY.

A committee meeting of the Paeroa Hockey Club was held last evening, when arrangements were made for play-, ing the stars and shield matches. Seven matches will be played during the season between the two teams as hereunder

mentioned :—

A Team.—Messrs H. Bray, A. Bray, T. Dean, F. Donnolly, Gordon, Rev. Lowery, J. McCarthy, R. Hargraves, A. Whitmore, J. Whitmore, and Tonge.

B Team.—Messrs Rusden, Dempsey, W. Kenny, C. Kenny, S. Bagnall, R. Darrock, Charlton, Kennedy, Browne, Hubbard, and H. Walmsley.

The above players are requested to be in attendance at practice to-morrow, so that the selectors may have a chance of placing the players in their proper places in the respective teams. The first stars and shield match takes place on Saturday, 13th May. ; .
