,MAN FINED AT WAIHI

At the Waihi Magistrate's Court, H. Sorensen was charged with unlawfully supplying a pea rifle and ammunition to A. Sorensen, the latter being under the age ot 16 years. Defendant pleaded guilty. Sergeant McKinnon emphasised the danger in supplying these arms to boys, and said he wished to make the matter public so as to prevent this class of offence, now that the shooting season had commenced. The Magistrate

pointed out that the maximum fine was ,£SO. Defendant was fined 10s, with costs 7s.
