FOOTBALL.
SOUTH AUCKLAND UNION.
The annual meeting of the South Auckland Rugby Union was held at Te Aroha on Monday evening, Mr H. J. Field being in the chair. Delegates were present from the Waihi, Waikino, Karangahake, Paeroa, Maniopoto, King Country, Piako, and Rotorua Unions.
Officers ior ensuing year were elected as follows: — Patron, Mr H. Poland, M.P. ; president, Mr H. J. Field ; vicepresidents, Messrs.]. N. Lavery, E. ,C.' Folwassher, and T. Clarkin ; secretary and treasurer, Mr H. R. Bush ; auditors, 'Messrs Quick and Dixon ; committee; Messrs Lusk Walmsley, Corbett, McIntyre, and Clarkson; delegates to New Zealand Rugby Union, Messrs Field, !Mcintyre, and Matthews. '•■ It was suggested that matches be played as follows:—Bay of Plenty v. Waikato, Kin? Country and Maritbpoto v. Goldfields. It was decided that the matter be referred to the various unions to see if the matches can be arranged.
