A GRUESOME FIND.

BODY IN THE RIVER

Last night the police were advised that the body of a man had been found in the Thames River, near Kopu. So far the body has not been identified,

and a strange circumstance in connection with the case is that no person has

been reported missing.

Inspector Wright gave instructions that the body was to be brought {to Thames -as soon as possible. The remains, we understand, were fastened to a stake, and were to be removed early this morning when the tide was suitable.

The body was taken to the Thames this morning and placed in the morgue.
