ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

WILTON—HANLEN.

A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at the residence of Mr and Mrs Alex. Hanlen, Hikutaia, on Wednesday, April 19th, when Miss Juanita Olive Hanlen, their youngest daughter, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr Francis P. Wilton, son ot Mr John Wilton, of Tararu. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked exceedingly well in a pretty gown of white silk striped canvas voile, the bodice being prettily trimmed with silk overlace, and finished with sprays of orange blossoms. -She wore a coronet of orange blossoms, long tulle veil, and carried a lovely shower bouquet, completing a pretty bridal costume. The ceremony was impressively performed by the Rev. Mr Hinton, ot Thames. The bride was attended by her niece, Miss Violet Bedford, as bridesmaid. She looked very becoming in a pretty frock of cream silk, and carried a shower bouquet. Mr Ernest Wilton, brother of the bridegroom, filled the r capacity of best man. After the ceremony the party and guests were enter- * tamed by Mr and Mrs Hanlen at aTsumptuous wedding breakfast, and the usual toasts duly honoured. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome greenstone and gold brooch, and , to the bridesmaid a pretty gold brooch. The happy couple were the recipients of a number of presents, both useful and ornamental, showin? the esteem in which.both are held. Mr and Mrs Wilton lett by the afternoon tram for Hamilton, where the honeymoon is beintr spent. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue costume with hat to match.
