POSTAL MESSENGERS.
Mr G. W. Woods, the local postmastdr, informs us that express delivery and special messenger service, whereby any telephone subscriber, on request, can obtain the services of a telegraph messenger, has been extended to Paeroa^ and is now in torce at the local post office. Such messenger may be utilised for running an errand, delivering a letter or a small parcel not exceeding 3lbs. in weight, or any similar service. Subscribers to the Postal Guide will find lull instructions on pages 64 and 315. The delivery fee for each article is 6d for the first mile and 3d for each additional mile up to two miles, or three miles in all, by the nearest practicable road, A receipt must be given by the recipient for each specially delivered article. All information may be obtained on enquiry at the post office.
