A young man named J. Collett met with a painiul accident while working at the Waihi-Paeroa Gold Extraction Company's works at Paeroa on Wednesday. He was engaged on some work on a staging, when he slipped and fell a distance of about ten ieet. Unfortunately, he fell on to some iron work, fracturing his shoulder blade. Dr Smith was sent ior, and aftep he had attended to the injuries, Collect was taken to the Thames Hospital by the-afternoon train.
