PROPOSED EXTENSION
DEPUTATION TO MINISTER.

Replying *to a deputation from the Women's Societies protesting against the Home Affairs proposed order to permit dressmakers to extend the hours in May and June in view of the Coronation, Mr Masterton stated that the Queen had made special arrangements to prevent overtime on her dresses. Mr Masterton wished that everyone would be similarly considerate, and promised to
reconsider the order
