THE BARQUE PAMIR

GOOD PROGRESS MAINTAINED EXPECTED IN BRITAIN BY CHRISTMAS DAY Rec. ’9 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 10. The New Zealand barque Pamir, when she last reported her position to her London agents, the Union Steam Ship Company, she had cleared the doldrums and reported that she expected to reach Britain by Christmas Day. All canvas on the vessel is intact and she is averaging between seven and eight knots an hour. Great interest is being taken in shiping circles in the vessel’s arrival and many applications have been received by the snipping company for permits to go on board when she arrives in the Thames. It is not yet known whether the vessel will dock first at the Port of London or Hull.
