GIRL IMMIGRANTS

ACCOMMODATION PLANS In order to provide accommodation for the 150 girls who are expected to arrive in Dunedin early next year under the assisted immigration scheme, certain air force buildings will be made available to them through the National Service Department. This announcement was made to the Daily Times yesterday by the Minister of Defence, Mr F. Jones. It is understood that arrangements are already in hand for the re-erection of the buildings on sites near the Mosgiel and Roslyn Woollen Mills, where the girls are to be employed.
