GOODWILL TOUR
VISIT OF CANADIAN BOWLERS FORTNIGHT’S STAY IN DUNEDIN Firlal confirmation has been received by the New Zealand Bowling Association of the arrangements made by the New Zealand Government Tourist Department for the forthcoming goodwill tour of New Zealand by a party of bowlers from British .Columbia. The party consists of 24 men, five of whom are accompanied by their wives and one member by his daughter as well. The visitors are to arrive in Auckland on December 29, and they will proceed direct to Wellington, where they will probably make their first appearance on a New Zealand green. On January 5 the Canadians will cross to Blenheim and, after a stay of two days, will go to Christchurch. They will leave there on January 10 for Dunedin to take part in the New Zealand championship tournament, and will remain in Dunedin until January 26. , . , From Dunedin they will travel direct to Wanganui and thence to Napier. After a short stay in Napier they will go to Rotorua and later to Whangarei, returning to Auckland on February 9 for three days. Arrangements have been made for the Canadians to visit the Waitomo Caves and then go to Hamilton, whence they will return to Auckland and depart for their homes on February 16. The bowling centres throughout New Zealand which will be visited by the Canadians are making suitable arrangements for their entertainment, and it is confidently expected that their visit to New Zealand will be a memorable and enjbyable one. During their stay in Dunedin the Canadians will he afforded the opportunity of seeing something of the Otago province and some of the leading Dunedin industries.
