OAMARU REGATTA
DUNEDIN CLUBS’ SUCCESSES Special to the Daily Times OAMARU, Dec. 7. The Oamaru Boating Club held a successful regatta on the Oamaru Harbour on Saturday afternoon. Crews from Timaru, Otago, North End, Port Chalmers, Queen’s Drive and Oamaru Clubs took part, and some close finishes were witnessed. Results of races were as follows: — Maiden Pairs: Port Chalmers 1, North End 2, Oamaru 3. Youths’ Fours: North End 1, Queen’s Drive 2, Port Chalmers 3. Junior Pairs: North End 1, Oamaru 2, Otago 3. Novice Fours: Port Chalmers 1, Queen's Drive 2, Oamaru No. 1 and No. 2 (equal) 3. Senior Fours: North End 1, Port Chalmers 2, Otago 3. Youths’ Pairs: North End 1, Port Chalmers 2, Otago 3. Junior Fours: North End 1, Otago 2, Port Chalmers 3. Senior Pairs: North End 1, Otago 2. Maiden Fours: Otago 1, Oamaru 2, Port Chalmers 3. The starter was Mr E. V. Fairbairn (president of the Otago Rowing Association), and the judges Messrs G. Grenfell and H. Tempero. Mr T. F. Mackie, president of the New Zealand Rowing Association, was present
