BRIGHT BATTING
INDIANS PLAY QUEENSLAND COUNTRY ELEVEN Rec. 9 p.m. BRISBANE, Dec. 7. After a bad start with three down for 38, the Indians found their feet and scored 333 against a Queensland country eleven at Warwick on Saturday. The only really bright spots, however, were the batting of Hazare, captain for the day, with an attractive 48, and the breezy batting of Rai Singh, whose batting was as bright as his blue turban. He hit two balls into the fowlyard of a house outside the ground and scored 32 in 29 minutes, hitting two 6’s and two 4's. Nayudu brightened the closing stages with 59 in 58 minutes with one 6 and eight 4’s. Kishenchand was not out with 75 scored in 207 minutes.
