FIELD-MARSHAL MONTGOMERY REDUCTION TO FIVE RIBBONS N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent Rec. 8 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 5. An earlier message from Pretoria stated that Field-marshal Lord Montgomery is now wearing only one row of medal ribbons. He told a press conference that he had heard his many rows described as “fruit salad.” He had instructed his aide-de-camp to make up a single row.
