THE LAMBING SEASON MINISTER GIVES FIGURES P.A. WELLINGTON.. Dec 7. “ Lambing in New Zealand this season is estimated to be 93.11 per cent., the highest Dominion figure on record.” said the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Cullen, yesterday. He added that the new record was particularly gratifying when such strenuous efforts were being made to increase food exports to Britain. The nurriber of breeding ewes was 20,742,646, and it was estimated that the number of lambs would be 19.313.525. North Island lambs comprised 10.814,554 (92.47 per cent.) and South Island 8,494.971 (93.94 per cent.).
