montecillo home The “ Christmas Cheer ’’ fund of the patients of Montecillo Red Cross Hospital benefited to the extent of ±.94 as the result of a garden party held m the grounds of the home on Saturday Stalls selling flowers and ice cream were well patronised, as was the sale of work. Leather goods, woodwork, calendars and novelty products made bv the patients were in popular demand, and the result was considered very satisfactory. The function was opened by the Mayor, Mr Cameron, who congratulated the matron, staff, executive association and the patients on the ex.ellent management and organisation, lhe civic authorities were greatly interested in the work being done at the home, he said. „ ~ The Band of the First Battalion Otago Regiment, under the baton of Captain L. O. Asten, gave several items during the afternoon.
