APPOINTMENT FILLED

CHAIR OF DAIRY HUSBANDRY MASSEY AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE P.A. PALMERSTON N., Dec. 5. A chair of dairy husbandry recently established by the Massey Agricultural College was filled at a meeting of the Board of Governors to-day by the appointment of Dr lan L. Campbell, B.Agr. Sc. (N.Z.), Ph.D. (Missouri), who for eight years has been in charge of the dairy husbandry section of the New Zealand Dairy Research Institute at the college. Applications for the position were called for in Britain and in other parts of the Empire. Professor W. Riddet, who is professor of dairying at the college and also a director of the Dairy Research Institute, will continue to be in general charge of the dairy department, which embraces both dairy husbandry" and dairy manufactures. Dr Campbell, who is 32, graduated at Massey College.
