DUNEDIN PHILATELIC CLUB

The final meeting of the Dunedin Philatelic Club for the year was held in the View Street Hall on Thursday. Mr J. McAra presided over a large attendance of members. Three new members were enrolled. The new Australian Princesi Elizabeth Commemorative issue was on view in addition to the special wedding cancellation mark. A comprehensive and Interesting display and a talk was given on Swiss charity stamps by Mrs A. C. Laing, on the occasion ,of ladies’ night. The speaker dealt with the early history of the health or charity stamps of the world, the purpose of their inception, and the organisation controlling such issues.
