CONCERN EXPRESSED
CAMPAIGN AGAINST FLIES SUGGESTED Grave concern at the outbreak of poliomyelitis in the North Island was expressed at a recent meeting of the general committee of the Sunlight League of New Zealand." The following remit, to be sent to the National Council of Women, was framed: “ That representation be made to city council authorities, appealing to them for increased efforts in their fly destruction campaign; also that appeals by means of radio and press be addressed to each individual of the community, asking them to play their part in the great struggle against the disease-spreading fly enemy.
