NEW TRIAL ORDERED

APPEAL AGAINST CONVICTION P.A. WELLINGTON, Dec. 2. The Court of Appeal to-day ordered a new trial in the case of Arthur Ronald Morris, who was convicted at Christchurch on October 21 on a charge of assault with intent to commit rape. From that conviction, Morris had appealed on the ground that at his trial there had not been sufficient corroboration of the evidence of the person alleged to have been assaulted and that appeal was heard this morning.
