AID TO GREEKS

BADLY NEEDED CLOTHING P.A. WELLINGTON, Dec. 2. CORSO has received a letter of thanks from the president of the Greek community of Saint Eustathios in Greece for clothing sent some months ago on the Cyrenia, formerly the Maunganui. The letter, which states that the gift which enabled the islanders to discard a lot of their rags, came at a most opportune time as, owing to the destruction of their chops through bad weather, they were not in a position to, replace any clothing. The Cyrenia left Wellington last March at short notice under a Greek crew and consequent on the offer of her captain to take unlimited quantities of relief supplies free, CORSO organised a whirlwind collection which totalled 157, cases.
