POORER QUALITY PETROL
The repeated complaints by motorists in the north of poor petrol are attributed by a service station to the low octane rating of the present-day fuel. It is stated that the pre-war average octane rating was over 70, whereas to-day it was around 60. Water in petrol was another suggested reason. \
