NOT PRACTICABLE

TRIANGULAR RUGBY SERIES DOMINION PRESIDENT’S VIEW HA. WELLINGTON, Dec. h Commenting on Cyril Towers’s suggestion that the Australian Rugby Union should arrange a triangular, international series next year, Mr S. S. Dean said he did not think it practicable. Owing to the probable visit of the French Rugby team to New Zealand and the tour of South Africa in 1949, the next season would be a heavy one. In addition, arrangements were being made, if transport could be finalised, for a New Zealand Maori team to visit Fiji.
