TARIFF REDUCTIONS

WOOL INTERESTS PROTEST LETTER TO MR MARSHALL Rec, 8.30 p.m. NEW YORK. Nov. 30. The National Association of Wool Manufacturers described the recen' cut in United States tariff rates as the “ most flagrant misuse of delegated Congressional authority ever witnessed in this country.” The association has sent a letter to the Secretary of State, Mr George Marshall, protesting against the department’s action in negotiating tariff reductions at the Geneva conference.

It added: “The wholesale reductions in our tariff rates exceed those of any tariff reduction programme ever undertaken by Congress itself.”
