Sargood’s Dynamos continued their hold on first place in the division in the men’s softball competition by defeating Cardinals I by 11 runs to 1. The umpire was Mr W. E. Mathews. The Bears beat City United 20—10. The umpire was Mr C. W. Davis. Red Sox beat the Dodgers by 18 to 8. The umpire was Mr S. J. Harborne. Cardinals I want down te the Bears by 21 runs to 6. The umpire was Mr C. W Davis. City United won their third game of the season by defeating Hillside Dodgers 29—17. The umpire was Mr S. J. Harborne. Hillside Red Sox came up to tie with Sargood’s Dynamos for first place in the .competition when they beat the 2nd N.Z.E.F. first team 23—15. The Umpire was Mr D. D. Moore. In the second division, Cardinals II defeated the much-improved Hillside Demons by 26—14. The umpire was Mr E. C. Loughran. Training College continued their undefeated record by beating the 2nd N.Z.E.F. second team 30—21 The umpire was Mr J. McMillan. The Hawks team narrowly defeated the A.T.C. Club by 32 to 25. Extra time was necessary in this game as the score stood 24-all at the end of the seventh innings The umpire wgs Mr Ross Swap.
