BURGLARIES IN WELLINGTON

p.A. WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. Thieves, successful in farcing the door of the shop and blowing the safe of Messrs C. H. Pritchard, Ltd.. Kent terrace, gained the sum of £ 1 19s 2d for their strenuous effort. Two explosions were heard at 1.30 a.m., and on investigation the broken door and the blown safe were found. Thieves also broke into the premises of Messrs Hardwicks and Robertson and stole whisky to the value of £lB7 10s.
