“THE MESSIAH”

Two well-known Wellington soloists will take part in the performance of “ The Messiah ’ by the Dunedin Choral Society at the Town Hall next Tuesday. They are Miss Joyce Izett (soprano) and Mr Geoffrey Colledge (baritone). Mr Allan Botting will be making his first appearance for the society and Miss Valda McCracken will complete the group \of soloists. The choir will sing two choruses not heard in Dunedin for several years. These are “He Trusted In God That He Would Deliver Him ” and “ Let Us Break Their Bonds Asunder.” The orchestra, which includes the 1 Dunedin String Group of' the National Orchestra and 4YA Concert Orchestra, will be under the leadership of Miss Ethel Wallace, and Mr Douglas J, Palmer will assist at the organ.
