FRENCH RUGBY LEAGUE TEAM TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND P.A. AUCKLAND,'Nov. 30. The French Rugby League team, which will visit New Zealand next year, will play eight matches, including three tests, according to private advice received in Auckland from Mr J...A, Redwood, co-manager of the New Zealand touring team now in England. The tour will begin in New Zealand early in July, following a series of matches by the French against Australian sides. Decisions affecting the tour were made at a conference of the English, French, and New Zealand Rugby Leagues in England recently, Mr Redwood representing New Zealand. Two of the three tests will be played in Auckland. Mr Redwood states that the game in France is making excellent progress. A French international team recently defeated Wales at‘Bordeaux, the gate receipts exceeding £25,000.
