ATTACKS ON PERSIA

PREPARATIONS BY SOVIET TEHERAN NEWSPAPER REPORT TEHERAN, Nov. 27. “ D-Day ” for three-pronged Rus-sian-sponsored attacks on Persia’s northern provinces is December 13,

says a report in the Teheran newspaper Attash. The Associated. Press correspondent says an official source said the Attash report was copied from an official and supposedly confidential report from the Persian army chief inspector in Azerbaijan, General Shah 'Bakhti.

Attash said the attacks would mark the second anniversary of the formation of Jafar Peshevari’s autonomous

movement in Azerbaijan, and the first anniversary of the collapse of the movement when Russian forces withdrew. The report said Peshevari, who is believed to have escaped to Russia when the Persian Government forces took over, would lead one attack on North-east Azerbaijan, while the . other attacks would be aimed at welding together dissident Kurdish tribesmen.
