SURF SEASON
The opening of the surf season at St. Kilda was held yesterday. The Oreti Surf Club (Invercargill) competed against teams from St. Kilda and the trophy for interclub competition was won by St. Kilda. Mr N. D. Anderson officially opened the season and a march past was followed by fourmen and six-men events. Results:— Senior six-man event.—St. Kilda, 49.04 points, 1; Oreti, 45.02 points, 2. Junior four-man alarm. —Oreti, 42.56 points, 1; St. Kilda, 40.30 points, 2. Senior four-man alarm.—St. Kilda, 43.65 points, 1; Oreti, 40.62 points, 2.
