AMATEUR ATHLETICS
The first evening meeting o£ the season of the North Otago Amateur Athletic Association was held on Thursday. As little training work had been done because of the season being started late, the standard of performances was not high. Results of events were:— Senior.—loo Yards: Race I—H. Rowell (syds) 1, J. Sutherland (scr) 2, A. Currie (5) 3: Race 2—J. Ussher (4) 1. I. de Joux (8) 2, A. Hopley (scr) 3. Discus: I. de Joux (42ft) 1, H. Rowell (45) 2, F. Diver (25) 3: distance, 118 ft lin. Junior.—loo Yards: Race I—Brown (scr) 1, Jenkins (3yds) 2, Krause (5) 3; Race 2—Gridgman (scr) 1, Mawhinney (4) 2, Batchelor (4) 3. Women’s 75 Yards.—A. Thomas (syds) 1, N. Nuttall (2) 2, J. Todd (scr) 3.
