Exports of British Textiles
The Daily News Record, a trade journal, stales that Lancashire exporters were shocked by the textile export figures published on November 18.. The report indicated that America had displaced Britain in leadership chiefly by exports of Japanese manufacture. Japan’s exports for the quarter JulySeptenibcr were 157 million square yards, compared with Britain's 146 million square yards.
