CUSTOMS RETURNS
PORT OF OTAGO FIGURES FOR NOVEMBER Although customs revenue showed an increase of £37,000 this month over the corresponding period last year, decreases in beer duty and sales tax were chiefly responsible for reducing the overall increase in receipts to over £IB,OOO. Receipts from tyre duty rose from £ls to nearly £ISOO. Comparative figures for the respective returns are:—
