BUILDINGS IN STAFFORD STREET

Sir,—A few facts may interest you concerning the old buildings of which you print a picture in the Daily Times. In the year 1900 I was connected with the Central Mission as a member of their brass band and choir. The Central Mission conducted their meetings in the old Garrison Hall (minister, the Rev. W. Sinclair). Well, the mission used that old building in Stafford street in association with tlie Garrison Hall for weekly meetings right up to the time when the Central Mission building was opened in the Octagon. The Mayor, Mr D. C. Cameron, was connected with the mission then, too; in fact, we were boys together at the Moray Place School.—l am, etc., G. H. It. lies.
