ADDITIONAL FUNDS

AMERICAN AID TO GREECE UNEXPECTED FACTORS FOUND Rec. 10 p.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 26. The State Department is considering requesting Congress to provide additional funds to aid Greece’s recovery, said the Under-Secretary, Mr Robert Lovett, at a press conference to-day. He explained that the American Mission to Greece has reported several new factors which were not expected when the- original 300,000,000-dollai-Greek Air Plan was submitted early this year. The new factors were: First, the enforced evacuation of about 310,000 refugees from the frontiers where guerrilla fighting was going on; secondly, the loss of about one-third of the Greek wheat crop as a result of drought; thirdly, the use of 9,000,000 dollars to equip the Greek Army to fight the guerrillas; and fourthly, an increase in world prices.
