PLAN FOR' OTAGO
FIRST STEPS TO BE TAKEN Special Correspondent WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. The first steps will be taken shortly towards the establishment of the Otago Catchment Board. The Local Government Commission this morning promulgated as a final scheme its provisional plan published on October .8 for the declaration of the Otago catchment district and the setting up of a catchment board of 10 members. . , . .. The only objection received m the intervening Seven weeks was from the Strath-Taieri branch of the Federated Farmers, and it was rejected by the commission. The next step will bp taken by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council, which will prepare for the establishment of a catchment board by Order-in-Councu.
