TRANSFERRED TO DUNEDIN

MAJOR POINT OF DISPUTE

Industrial Correspondent WELLINGTON, Nov. 27.

The focal point in the West Coast beer boycott is now Dunedin. It is expected, though not officially announced, that Dunedin workers will be invited from the trade union conferences in Wellington to take concerted action to prevent the transport of supplies from a Dunedin brewery to West Coast hotels which are selling beer at 7d. , „ A meeting of the National Executive of the New Zealand Transport Workers’ Federation was held to-day to consider the watersiderS’ request for action. No statement is made by the executive, but it is understood that the matter will be referred to Dunedm workers. Meanwhile, support for the West Coast beer boycott is developing rapidly at national trade union headquarters, where the attitude of the West Coast workers has been endorsed by the Federation of Labour, the Transport Workers’ Federation, and the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Federation.
