PRISONERS OF WAR
REUNION WELL ATTENDED Barbed wire strung across the stage of the Town Hall Concert Chamber and a large cartoon depicting life in a prison camp, together with appropriate notices in German, struck a grim note, which was belied by the large and cheerful attendance at a reunion held by the Dunedin Prisoners of War Association last night. The president, Mr S. Starkey, welcomed'the official guests, including the Mayor, Mr Cameron, Mr E. F. Tibbets. president of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association, Mr M. Myers, president of the Dunedin Returned Services’ Association, Lieutenant-colonel S. M. Satterthwaite, representing the army, Dr Malcolm Brown, and two former prisoners of war from H.M.N.Z.S. Bellona.
