Rec. 11 p.m. CANBERRA, Nov. 26 The Prime Minister, Mr Chifley.told the House of Representatives to-day that there was no need to reverse the decision to repatriate the Malayan seamen made by the Minister of Immigration, Mr A. A. Calwell. That decision, he said. wa= in accordance with Government policy, which was that Indonesian seamen and others should be repatriated. These Malayan seamen were not being deported—they were being repatriated. They had come to Australia and had been sheltered here on the understanding that they would be repatriated.
