EXECUTIVES AGREE
UN-AMERICAN AGITATORS NO EMPLOYMENT IN FILM INDUSTRY !Rec. 11 p.m. NEW YORK, Nov. 26., America’s top film executives agreed to-day that they would not knowingly employ Communists or anyone else advocating the overthrow of the United States Government by force or unconstitutional means. The president of the Association of Motion Ticture Producers, Mr Eric Johnston, in a statement after the meeting of 50 executives, said that the association's members pledged themselves to discharge or suspend without conpensation any of the 10 Hollywood writers who had been cited for contempt by the House of Representatives for refusal to answer a question by the UnAmerican Activities Committee as to whether they were Communists. Mr Johnston added: “We will not re-employ any of the 10 until he is acquitted or has purged himself of the contempt charge and declared under oath that he is not a Communist.
